Shango is Ramanga's eldest son and Asan's older brother.

Series 5

Shango first appears in "The Enemy Within" as an unusual bat. Asan nods at the bat form, and allows him to exit the room. Later Asan meets up with Shango at a vampire hangout, and we learn that Shango and Asan are both Ramanga's sons. Ramanga has recently committed suicide in the and Shango has come to tell Asan the news. The shame of defanging was too much for Ramanga to bear. Ramanga exiled himself to the Karakum desert where he lay down in a place some call 'The Door to Hell' and sacrificed himself to the agony of the light. Shango encourages has little brother to remain at Garside, pretending to be loyal to the Draculas.
