Renfield Sr. was the father of Renfield. He was a breather who served Count Dracula for many years. Renfield Sr. came to an unfortunate end and was devoured by Zoltan's pack of Hellhounds.
Series 2
Vlad managed to resurrect him from the single bone which was left of him. Renfield Sr., though a great alchemist, was not terribly inclined to help Vlad discover the cure for vampirism. Instead, angry that he had never been made immortal, Renfield Sr. tried to take revenge on the Count.
He failed and the alchemy spell was reversed by Renfield, his son.
