Summary
Count and Magda
The Count has to fly off to Transylvania to apologise, leaving Vlad, Ingrid, Erin, Bertrand and Renfield behind. Bertrand and Vlad work on Vlad's telepathic skills when Magda returns in a hagged state and as usual causes trouble for Vlad with her power-hungry ways.
Plot
Erin phones the Blood Brotherhood
Magda comes as a poor bag lady and quickly gains an admirer in Renfield, and is adopted in to the home. The Count flies off to Transylvania to apologise leaving Vlad, Ingrid, Erin, Bertrand and Renfield behind. Bertrand and Vlad work on Vlad's telepathic skills when Magda returns in a hagged state and as usual causes trouble for Vlad with her power-hungry ways. Magda tries to emotionally trick Vlad into giving her the Regency. Planning to gain fame off the "Chosen One", Magda arranges interviews with Fang Magazine. Vlad is against it, as it would reveal their location to the slayers. Erin tries to phone the Blood Brotherhood, a gang of vampires set on killing the Draculas. Magda is eventually ousted, leaving Wolfie behind.
Quotes
Vlad: I've been TRAINING every night this week! Count: You still haven't mastered telepathy. Vlad: I hope you can read this... (Glares at the Count.) Count: Actually I can. And in answer, I seriously doubt it would fit.
Vlad: I'm cancelling this right now... how do I do that? Magda: You don't. Only I can cancel the contract. Vlad: (Teeth gritted) You devious, conniving witch! Magda: (Slyly) You said all the right things.
Vlad uses telepathy to tell the Count to come to Garside.
Count: I knew you could do it, Vlad. Your message came through clear as a bell; "Come home now, Major A blood for tea." Vlad: "Major emergency." Count: Oh, that's not nearly as good.
Vlad: (to Renfield) I need your help. Renfield: (working on a potion) I'm at a critical point. Vlad: I need you to dress up as a woman and pretend to be Mum. Renfield: (pause) Nothing that can't wait.
